Aizada Imports Shop

Welcome to Aizada Imports!  We provide hand felted wool crafts from the beautiful mountainous country of Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia, and we work directly with the artisans in Kyrgyzstan who make these stunningly beautiful woolen felt crafts.  These skilled artisans use both traditional and modern techniques, and their products are absolutely wonderful.  Women in the more remote villages make shyrdaks, which are traditional quilted rugs used to line the inside of their tents.  We also work with gifted young designers in the capitol city of Bishkek, who are developing  brilliant new fashion products from felt. Our product line consists of shyrdaks (rugs)hangings, pillows, hats, dolls, ornaments, bags, slippers, and jewelry.  And by the way, there is no "middle man".  We personally travel to Kyrgyzstan and purchase these products directly from the artisans.  And we like to think that we are making a difference in the lives of women in Kyrgyzstan because it would otherwise be very difficult for them to find employment.  These hand felted wool products are stunningly beautiful and are a joy to own... and of course they also make incredible gifts!  Aizada Imports is based out of Absarokee Montana, where we have a shop and gallery on the main floor of the Big Yellow House Bed and Breakfast.  You may purchase these products online, via email or phone.  We are very proud of these gorgeous wool products, and we are confident that you will not only want them as your own, but you will cherish them for many, many years to come.

Rand's Custom Hatters

Greetings from Montana!
In the early west, one of the cowboy’s most important pieces of equipment was his hat. It shaded his eyes from the sun, kept the rain off his neck and, in a pinch, served as a bucket for water and feed. It was an integral part of his existence, and he was seldom without it. It was the first thing he put on in the morning, and the last thing he took off at night. Today’s cowboy; and those who fancy western apparel, expect no less from their hat than the cowboy in the old west. It reflects their taste and lifestyle. In this age of cheap workmanship, it is difficult to find the hat to fit these needs. It’s with that thought that Rand’s approach the design and construction of their custom hats. Utilizing traditional artisan’s tools and skilled craftsmen, we have achieved a quality product that combines the skills of the past with the concerns of today. Antique copper steamers, wooden sizing blocks, curved pencil curling irons and other traditional implements abound at Rand’s, reminding us that the skills of the past are still with us. We can assure you, the foremost care and quality will be taken with your Rand’s custom hat.   No grief, no hassle, no drama and no problem customer service. Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00 Mountain Time.  Made in U.S.A.

Montana Tunesmith

Tim and Mike Nordstrom are fifth generation Red Lodge Montanans who love where they live and enjoy sharing this passion with others through the music that they write and perform.  In their late 30's and early 40's they both have families of five (wife and three children) and incorporate their family values into much of their music.  Tim has been writing music since childhood and the two have sung together since before they can remember.  They both believe firmly in enjoying friends, family and the outdoors- their new slogan "Live it Up!" says it all.  In their short musical career they have recorded with Grammy winning solo pianist George Winston and Grammy winning producer Lloyd Maines.  They feel very privileged to have performed with the Billings Symphony and have been featured many times on National Public Radio and The World of Ducks Unlimited.  They look forward to evolving musically and sharing their passion for music and the mountain lifestyle with their ever growing fan base!  "Montana Tunesmith" is Tim and Mike Nordstrom, whose songs come like a fresh autumn breeze across the Bitterroots.  Utilizing tight, brotherly harmonies and lovely melodies, their songs about family, home and geography cause one to reflect again on the true meaning of "folk music"- music written for its own sake, from the heart.  Montana Magazine writes, "If I had to choose one CD to represent Montana in a time capsule, this would be it. Fifth-generation Red Lodge brothers Tim and Mike Nordstrom sing about family, firefighters, hunting, fishing, mining, Native Americans, small town bars, and the wildlands that make Montana so special."   Music Available on www.itunes.com and www.cdbaby.com.
